Before I started Next Round, I wanted to spend a lot more time and energy focused on learning. Venture capital has always been something that I had interest in but I thought it would take forever to get results. My thought was that venture capital wasn’t accessible unless you had millions or a ton of connections.

Turns out, its not.

I was able to connect with 50 venture capitalists in just a few months. This gave me absurd insight and advantage in the marketplace. Now, I’m ready o provide extreme value to the world.

I started Next Round to fix that.

Here’s how it works:

Interviews are the backbone of the brand. We’re interviewing founders who are creating the next best company. Instead of brainless interviews, we use content as leverage for founders who want to raise capital. The Next Round app is set up to connect founders with investors. (More on that later.) You can subscribe to the podcast here.

The best part about being a career podcaster is what you learn. I’ve learned a lot from having conversations with angel investors, venture capitalists and even the founders who’ve recently raised. This is why I’m creating playbooks to help even more founders. On top of that, I’m collaborating with other startup experts to create resources and host webinars for founders.

This newsletter will be a huge part of the journey. I want to share resources here, stay closely connected to founders and definitely share the content.

First, our events will be local to the west coast. We’ll be focused on Seattle, Portland, San Fransisco and Los Angeles. These meetups are small, intimate dinners with just a few founders and a few investors. (Stay on the list and you’ll have all the details.)
